Handy saw
With a fresh battery and a sharp chain, it cuts at least as well as my gas powered saw. As battery dwindles, so does performance, as you would expect. If you're going to spend a hour or two cutting, you might be better off with a gas powered saw, but for short bursts, it's very good. It saves time in preparation by not having to fill the fuel and warm it up etc. it's easy to just pick up and cut quickly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Lightweight with great features
Chainsaw is light and manuverable. 4amp-hr battery lasts more than an hour of cutting. I had an issue with the saw shutting off. At times the chain would get pinched, and shut down. All ready had the 40 v battery. For the price on this out of box deal, this is a great saw. Haven't used it yet. Waiting for better weather. Did insert the battery and it runs great. Great Buy, I have other Ryobi products that I have been using for over 5 years. Everything works well. Maintenance free other than charging the batteries. I have the weed eater which also has attachments for the hedge trimmer and grass edger. That's why I purchased the chainsaw. Now, all that's left is the riding lawn mower. Really Good
Found this offer at a very reduced price so garbed it. Like new but out of the box which is no problem. Started using this right away clearing smaller trees and brush in my woodlot. Works great and I don't have to yank a cord to start. The batteries last longer than I thought they would which is great. You need to fill the very nice size chain oil reservoir every other battery change. Much less noise than gas. Have not had a problem with cutting as these may not be as powerful as gas but cut right through. Have taken down trees up to 10' and cut through blowdowns up to 16" with no trouble cutting. .This came with one battery and after being impressed with first use of saw I ordered a second battery to give me longer time cutting. I'm old so by the time two batteries lose their charge I've lost mine as well. Not like gas saw but close
Cuts like a hot knife through butter except make sure you have backup batteries. Battery life when cutting 24 inch redwood trunk only lasted about 4 cuts. Smaller cuts, it worked as well as gas saw.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
