Compact equipment with good sound.
The equipment can be connected by HDMI or optical. The sound quality is very good but it suffers from lip synchronisation problems. There are no settings for this sound bar to correct the problem. I have set my Sony Bravia TV, as recommended by Sony, to PCM and this more or less cures the problem. I first went online to get ideas about the synchronisation problem and was surprised how many people who had bought sound bars were affected - the HD and 4K TV sets being the worse affected. Slim and good sound
Slim unit and good sound for the price but cannot be wall mounted, unlike the Bose units. Unfortunately Panasonic don’t seem to keep their units updated regularly so I won’t but TV or Bluray from them as cannot rely on software or firmware upgrades for any length of time. Set-up details in manual not very clear also wrongly thought this was portable !

Cheap and cheerful but not plug and play
There are problems with the sound delay from TV especially & also from Sky Q box to this device. The sound drifts away from the picture even after synchronising. Quite annoying for first few weeks but I suspect it is somehow settling down. Eventually plumped for optical link from Sky Q box to speaker. Spot on for smaller room, Crystal clear voice.
I bought this to replace/swap with a larger Samsung sound bar with sub that was very OTT for standard sound and would drown out the voice/speech. This turned out to be perfect for. It fits beautifully under my 43inch Samsung tv, connects effortlessly if you have hdmi arc port (switch’s on when your tv switch’s on) and above all else the sound is perfect, Crystal clear voice but also if turned up and on cinema mode it delivers booming sound from such a small neat tidy package. Good unit for the price and size
When changed TV's recently I was looking for a small sound bar and this fits the bill perfectly. It isn't loud when doing Dolby digital decoding out of the box, but is ok with a change of the configuration. It's not bassy, which was a plus for me. If you want they you will need the higher model with a wireless sub. At the discounted price I paid it's fine, but it does depend upon the TV sound as to whether it is worth buying. I have two of these now. So impressed with the first one I bought one for our other room. Set it up via an optical link cable from unit to tv and not through Sky Q Box, it worked perfectly.
