There were no scratches or buff marks on the earbuds or their case. They were also, thankfully, earwax-free. I found nothing operationally wrong with it as the sound is great and the battery life is as good as anything new. The packaging, while well protected, was about as basic as it gets, but I didn't mind. They did need to be reset to my phone before use (easy). Great value!
