Smells new, no blemishes, works well, feels solid, included all accessories (cables, case, retail box). Criticisms: doesn't connect with a lossless codec (uses AAC), needs to be on to use the coax cable, need an amp to use the cable (maxed the volume on the smartphone), no option to turn off the ANC to save battery life, charge usually lasts a day, equalizer is limited to 3 bands. Pros: excellent ANC, renowned reliability, ok sound.

I did not know how well they worked until I was using them and when I took them off I could hear all of the normal background noise that they were canceling. If a sound is extremely loud, like a blender, the headphones will not be able to completely cancel the noise but they will still reduce it. The different modes for listening to music are great and they allow you to adapt the headphones to your environment. Overall the headphones perform well and are incredible.

I did a ton of research comparing these to the Sony wh 1000xm5 that my wife has. My QC ultra headphones have WAY better sound (to me) because of the immersive audio. I read so many reviews regarding these headphones and many people thought the immersive audio was a gimmick. Well it's not! On some songs it just ok but others it feels like you're in an amphitheatre. Sorry Sony
