Item high quality, great customer service! however the item must be modified to be able to be used on zx81. An obsticle but can be overcome with a cutoff wheel to make slots and shorten the connector as well.

That's why the connector is descried as "UNCUT* and in the description detail mentions very clearly "This connector will need to be cut to size, to fit the either the ZX81 or the Spectrum computers." Then even more detail included, "The connector can easily be cut to size, with a junior hack saw. The pins for the 'key' need to be removed, and a small piece of suitable material inserted to form the locating key."
