  • A Powerhouse Drill! Quality Makita as Usual!

Bought this mfg refurbished from rafsupply and am super happy with it. All modes work as expected. I read some reviews online that said the drill got stuck in hammer mode, which is why I imagine this was refurbished. Great to know the tool has been gone over by Makita. It is an absolute beast with tons of torque and great speed control.

  • Powerful drill, plenty of torque

I use drills daily ro cut metals of all sizes and shapes. For handheld drills I will only use 3 brands, makita being my choice for compact. This drill does not dissapoint. Its a beast for this price range.

  • May as well be brand new...

I couldn't tell any difference between this and a brand new unit - it works beautifully and I feel that I got a really great deal on a high quality, name brand product. Whats not to love about that?

  • No old style 18V batteries.

Good quality but be sure to get the right battery for it not any 18 volt battery will fit. You need a newer one with a "B" after the number. Check to be sure, other batteries do fit also. But other than that "good stuff"!

  • Makita HPH12Z 18v Hammer Driver Drill

  • Great drill

This replaced my old Makita drill that I used for over a decade. It’s half the size with just as much (if not more) power. This is a great value and I would recommend it to anyone.

  • Makita XPH12Z LXT 18v compact brushless 1/2" hammer/drill driver is an awesome tool.

Makita XPH12Z is just what I needed for my 18v Makita bag. Just the right size just enough drilling power, and hammer function too if needed

  • Makita 18v brushless drill

It works better then the brushed models. I went thru the standard and heavy duty models. Don't waste your money on those if your going to use them daily in the trade. I gotta say my Milwaukee is the work horse. Makita drill has the Hammer drill driver setting. It has a plastic chuck. Milwaukee's metal. Same with the skill saw the guard breaks almost rite away. Milwaukee is metal so it doesn't. It's a good drill shipped fast can't go wrong either way.

  • Good value and quality

Compact and very strong drill , it’s my 4 th makita tool and I am very pleased with it. The only short coming is there’s no side handle available for this model.
