Solid PATA performer in the age of SATA
I just received my second one of these drives. What a bargain they are. I haven't installed the second unit, but the first one runs like a champ. It is very quiet, and although I haven't run tests on it, it's performance seems excellent. The first one let me bring my 12 or 13 year old XP machine back to life. The point about this unit is that for really low ball cost, you get what would have been absolutely uncompromisingly top of the line not so long ago. For an eide type drive, 250 GB is Huge. It replaced a 36 GB SCSI drive. I have found nothing bad about this drive. It's All Good.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

ADAT Ready
If you have an Alesis ADAT HD24, these work perfectly in it and are a great price. Just plug, Long format (as suggested by Alesis) and record! Had to share this with other ADAT owners. Stop searching for correct Hard Drives and pick up a couple of these. You won't be sorry :-) Good luck finding "Caddys" but it's a 5 minute job to change out hard drives from a your existing caddy.
