These are really, really good. All plastic parts seem good quality, not brittle. Everything fits nicely together. They are also as silent as anything that's spinning water can be. My DC variable speed pump is noisier even on the 4 out of 10 setting than this filter straight out of the box. Not sure about constantly buying cartridges, I'll adapt the old ones because I can, still an amazing filter!Follow-up from: 8***9- Feedback followed up on by buyer.- Feedback followed up on by buyer.I forgot to mention that the surface skimmer attachment also works a treat!!! It seems to take in a fair amount of water with no gurgling.
