Google Chromecast is a Genuis Product
The Chromecast is about the size of a cookie - it's very minimal, and can be powered by the USB port on your TV, or optional included plug adapter. Set-up is very intuitive - it took five minutes. There is no remote to keep track of. You "cast" videos, music, and other content from your phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop (even non-Google products).
Casting is flawless, hardly uses any data, and after casting for six full hours from my iPad the other day, my battery went from 100% to 96%. While casting a show, you can use your device normally, and it doesn't affect the video at all. You can close your laptop, talk on the phone, text, etc, and the streaming will continue (until you stop it.) You can cast from the other end of the house to a family member's TV, and it's like watching a brand-new DVD. And this is not even the latest generation of the Chromecast. This is their 3rd Generation product.
As an added bonus, the 3rd Generation Chromecast is less than $30 right now.
If you even thought about getting one, and you have an older TV / non-smart TV, you absolutely should purchase a Google Chromecast.
