I should've bought a Hakko years ago!
I finally stopped buying cheap Chinese irons. This is so nice to use while soldering. It heats up fast, and holds it temp. It also cools down faster than I expected when it's turned off. I love how the cords are easy to keep out of your way. It just feels like quality. I've had many of the cheap irons from China and they always felt cheap. I didn't realize it at the time, but now that I've used this, I realize how cheap the others felt. So, my advice, just spend the money, you wont regret it. Great soldering station
I was kind of hesitant on spending this much on a soldering station but once I received it and set it up I have no regrets. It only takes a few seconds to heat up. It works great. The 6 extra tips pretty much cover all my needs. I was an engineering tech for many years and wish I had a station like this then. This is working great for my RC Heli and Drone work. Warm-up in about 10 seconds, excellent quality points, microprocessor controlled temperature memories, safety, and many more features. A good product but not programmed properly at factory. Instant over heat.
A good product. Beware however that when first powered up, it went to maximum heat (900+F) and scorched the soldering tip. Instruction sheet on how to program temperature has errors and mixes F and C values in the instructions.
