Had to do lots of modification on my 35+ year old MTB and buy additional parts, but it was worth it. The bike is lighter and cheaper than if I purchased a new one and still has gears front and rear to use on the trails. I built this primarily to ride gravel roads and 2 track trails. I’ve run it through everything I expected to use it on and it exceeded my expectations on all accounts. Building it was also lots of fun. On a newer bike installation would have been a breeze.

Kit description and included instructions are bad. Seller needs to include that the rim doesn’t support v or cantilever brakes! Also need to include that the hub is for a 8/9 speed cassette and you will need spacers or a new cassette if you have a 7-speed. You will also need shims if your tube size is smaller than standard when mounting the motor controller box. Overall it was a great value but instructions and parts are missing. Reminds me of typical China-direct experiences I’ve had.
