    The photos & description were enticing, but was it possible to get a decent compass at this price? When I received it, I was shocked at the surprisingly good quality of it. It's a heavy duty CHUNK in the hand and LOADED with features. The eyepiece is bright, making it easy to shoot bearings. I really like the large rifle scope style sight glass with the mil dots. I give it 5 stars for value! And shipping was lightning fast! (Probably have to get me another one!)

    Wow really nice and heavy. I wasn't excepting such a nice item at this price. Bought three of them, two for my daughter and son-in-law for hunting. One for me everything I need if I ever go hunting again. But also perfect for setting up my solar panels, south and degree of angle for the time of the year. Again really great quality, very heavy duty. Has a hook loop on the carrying bag. I'm going to add a belt loop. Fast shipping, good seller, fits description perfectly you won't be disappointed!

    It is pretty bulky and heavy for a compass. Has a great phosphorescent affect. I haven't used it yet but it seems very nice and durable. Mainly bought it for the clinometer. I'm Retired Army and have been using Mil-Spec Lensetic Compasses for over 20 years. And have a small collection of Sandy's and Cammenga's. Overall I think it was a good buy.

    The compass is large and heavy but it is very well made and it has some excellent features. You can read the compass bearing from the side.

    Because of the features: incline measure, scales on the side, ability to read the bearing from the side while you sight our destination. Very well built.

    Unreliable reading

    Needle strays from North, even when level. Particularly when you lift it to your eye the needle is all over the place. About the best you can do is get multiple readings while it’s flat and choose the most common. The inclinometer is useful and pretty accurate.
