    Overall, Great Image Making Machine

    Everything is a trade-off, but for its size, the G7X Mark III offers a lot to love. Image quality is what you would expect from a camera of this class, and video looks great, too. A few disappointments. No thread for filters (there is a fairly good aftermarket solution, but c'mon Canon.) There's a ten minute limit on shooting 4k video - not really a problem, but something to note. Auto exposure compensation is limited to 3 stops. 5 or even 7 would have been nicer for shooting HDR stills. Speaking of which, the video HDR is pretty awful. There is no way to shoot log video, although you can get close with custom settings. A couple of nice things - you can control the camera, to some extent, using an app. Nice for shooting when you don't want to touch the camera on a tripod. And best of all, ...

    Great features. Great support

    The versatility begins with the rear screen. I did not think I would need one that tilts down on a 45 degree angle, but it's great for holding it over people's heads to take a shot in the crowd like the one I included. I also like the easy access to a variety of settings from shot continuity to contrast and many too mention to enumerate. I have yet to try video. One glitch was with the software I downloaded to enable the transfer of pics to my Mac computer. I spent a couple of hours -- one with a Canon specialist before uncovering the issue. Which reminds me: it took only a few minutes to get an agent and he stuck with me to resolve the issue. Great costurme service.

    quick and fast point and shoot

    Bought this for convenience, simple to use, function button ease to get to, feel great... I did not give 5star only because 4k use can't record over 10min... I use my cameras mostly for concerts, church functions, and inter views, and I use mostly only 4k... this camera gets hot when using this function at about 8min... other than that I can use this in conjunction with the other professional cameras I have set up, then this can be used easily pulling out of pocket capturing some good footages and these can be used along with the other footages in post to create some stunning footages.... Everyone knows canon cameras have some of the best color quality around, so this point and shoot is no difference, I mostly shoot in manual mode, but shooting in automatic mode is not much of a ...
