The quality of the Shure SM7DB was decent but wasn’t the real microphone. The condition was brand new, but unfortunately it didn’t work either. When I tried to use it, plugged in my XLR cable, it only made static noises.
Perfect mic. The built in preamp is a life saver because I do not have room on my desk for an audio interface to control the gain. The microphone itself is a bit heavy, but my boom arm supports it (I double checked, I am using a RODE PSA +1). It is a huge upgrade from my previous mic (Shure MV7).
Whatever Shure SM7db they were trying to sell me wasn't working, only got static when testing, definitely do not recommend buying one. Cosmetically it looks fine, but the microphone did not work.
