    Have to love the bluetooth

    I bought this to make a portable power generator. Essentially, I put a 100ah lithium battery and this controller into a tool box. The controller is half the size of my Epever MPPT and fits perfectly into the box. The Bluetooth is fantastic. It paired instantly with my phone and it's great to see what's going on with the system over time. This 100/20 model was very cheap from Lowenergie. I r ally wanted the 100/30 but the £60 saving was impossible to ignore. I love the fact that I can use 12v panels, 24v panels or even a single 40v 400w house panel.

    Good, with amazing features, but let down by the poor access too the recessed and weak VE-Direct socket.

    This is a very good product and works extremely well and is one of three that I have. Unfortunately I bought this as a replacement for the original one, as the VE-Direct socket snapped off and I was no longer able to communicate with it using the VE-Direct cable. On the new one I have used silicon all around the VE-Direct socket as it is only stuck on and hard to connect too, in its recessed location. A weak link in an otherwise excellent product. I also wish they were a bit cheaper and the Bluetooth worked with a Windows based PC.

    Solar on Tap

    I was in the process of upgrading my caravan solar power and add 200watts to the 150w already installed. So new batteries and rewired in heavier cable but my contoller was very cheap and 7 years old. So I looked for one of the best and here it is. The Victron Smart controller. Soon downloaded the ap. and now I can see how things are doing! Its great to know what youre putting in and taking out. It really shows those dismal days and how even a big black cloud can affect your solar gain. Great piece of kit !

    Victron MPPT 100/20 .

    Built a solar generator but when I upgraded from lead acid to lithium power, needed a 20a controller & the 100/20 is perfect. Victrons manages to extract every drop of power from your solar panels. The 100/20 looks to be the only model with a heat soak on the back so it sticks out a bit more than the others in this range. The app works well & easy to navigate. Great bit of kit for the money.

    Good but could be better and cheaper.

    I always buy Victron equipment as you can depend on it. The price unfortunately is always a little high. I did have a couple of issues with this 100/20 MPPT controller and that was it would not talk to my Android phone or my Windows Laptop for which I had to buy a dongle. Also I wanted to use 6mm cable with Ferrell's as it was multi core but the terminals were to small and quite shallow.
