    Worked right out of the box. Easy to set up, although it took the guide about a week to work in Plex for some reason. Shipping took considerably longer than estimated when purchased. Bought this as it's an easy way to get OTA signals to every TV in the house (Through Roku) and where I'm located did not require a huge antennae outside the house, just a simple, small, home-made antennae on the 2nd story of the house where the Flek4k is also located.

    Plugged it in, downloaded the app…that simple. I had one of their cable card devices long ago and am glad they are still around! The tuners get more channels than those in our TVs running direct to the antenna, which is a huge plus, as we also do not need to worry about signal loss using splitters. We are getting all but one channel on a top interior antenna with amplifier at 40 miles. We could not be happier! Much cheaper than paying for local channels!

    Best reception

    This units tuner outperformed any device I've had. That includes Airtv, Tablo, Samsung & Hisense TV's. It picks up stations where others failed and the stations are perfectly stable now without any pixelating or break up. I can't believe the difference this device made. OTA TV is now enjoyable to watch. I especially like the quality of the new atsc 3.0 stations that are absolutely perfect running on my 4K firesticks.with the HD Homerun software. Best investment I've made for OTA reception. I always thought it was my antennas that were the problem or my pre amps (tried several brands) but with this tuner and no pre amp this thing gives perfect reception. It actually works better without the pre amp which I believe introduced too much noise.

    Better than I expected.

    Was easy to install. Screw on the coax, plug in network cable, power on, go to the device's webpage, update, do a channel scan, install the app on your viewing device, launch app and there are your channels. 30 min later...surprise your channels are available via DNLA too, was viewing through VLC too. My Roku 4k streaming stick doesn't get audio, working on sorting that. Using the Roku media doesnt work with DNLA, downloads a bit and starts playing really fast. Channel schedule for 24hrs is free but if you want 2weeks of schedule data it's $35/year. The fee gets you dvr functionality with recording on a different device, like Plex. Haven't plugged a drive into the the flex 4k yet but it appears recording to an attached drive maybe free. I'm pretty happy with it. I get a occasional ...

    If you're looking for a 4-tuner device with ATSC 3.0 capability, great deal!

    Wouldn't know it was a refurb. Automatically discovered by Channels DVR software. Just add antenna. Does need hard wire connection to your network, no WiFi, as expected. As long as you're in an area where you can receive over the air TV signals, good to go. Does tune ATSC 3.0 channels as advertised.
