Product Information

A charming romantic comedy about finding love when you've finally given up on the concept. Irving plays Mary Ann, an American English teacher in Rio de Janeiro who is grieving the loss of her husband. Fagundes is Pedro Paulo, a Brazilian lawyer who can't seem to find the right woman.     Rio, Romance and... Bossa Nova. Light-hearted and charming.

    This is one of those movies I go back to time and again. Not because it is some gem overlooked by the Academy, but because it is just a cute, sweet, funny feel-good picture with a solid cast against the breathtaking backdrop of Rio de Janeiro. Add in some terrific bossa nova, and I defy you to not have a good time, if you're willing!

    Unless you understand Portuguese, you must use subtitles. The movie is uneven but entertaining.
