Insidious: The Last Key
I have watched everyone of the Insidious, and I have to say by far, this is one of the best. I loved the characters, of course Lin Shaye. Throughout the scenes there is darkness, as the director and characters take you with them into a dark journey. Shaye abused by her father, grew up with her hauntings, and joined others to bring it to an end. The only thing I thought was corky in the movie was the scene with the two men that join Lin, standing at the doorway, saying, "We are psychotics." It was corny to the man who opened the door, and to those who viewed it, otherwise, the movie was outstanding. Number 4 - Please no More!
The first Insidious was a scary movie about a child lost in a different dimension. The second one was a continuation with the emphasis on the old lady's help. The third one took a totally different plot and was better for it. The Last Key is a prequel of sorts and while entertaining, certainly not up to the standards set by number 1.
