Gorgeous IQ, worth the price
This lens makes it worth switching to the entire new system just by itself. Paired it with the R and wow is it good. Newborn shots are incredible, and the mirrorless system not needing Micro AF adjustment is spectacular. Pros: IQ is out of control (so good). With new RF system, much easier to nail the focus (compared to my experience with an 85 1.2 and a 5d3) Bokeh is gorgeous AF is much better (faster and more accurate) than EF 1.2's (50 and 85) Cons: HEAVY. The lens weighs more than the R by itself. Am considering getting the grip just for this lens and for balance It's larger than the EF equivalent, but that was expected given the amount of glass in this lens. Conclusion: once again, it's worth dealing with the quibbles of the RF system just for this lens alone. That's crazy high praise.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

A Stellar Performer in Canon's Line of RF Lenses
Canon RF lenses are absolutely terrific, especially this 50mm f1.2, which is sharper wide open and has more contrast than the EF version. I wavered between buying the EF, the RF and Sigma's f1.4 to pair with my EOS R, and finally decided on the RF based on the many rave reviews it has received.
