About this product

Product Information

Nikon's D7200 is a versatile DX-format DSLR that caters to both still photography and video users. Featuring a 24.2MP CMOS sensor which lacks an optical low-pass filter, and an EXPEED 4 image processor, the D7200 is able to record up to 6 fps at full-resolution, or 7 fps at a 1.3x crop, with a 100-frame buffer for extended high-speed shooting. This sensor and processor combination also avails a top native sensitivity of ISO 25600, which can further be expanded to black & white-dedicated ISO 51200 and ISO 102400 sensitivities. Full HD 1080p video recording is supported up to 60 fps, and in-camera time lapse shooting with automatic exposure smoothing is possible for up to 9,999 consecutive frames. In addition to the sheer imaging benefits, the D7200 also incorporates a large 3.2 1,229k-dot LCD monitor, dual SD card slots, and features built-in snapbridge Wi-Fi connectivity with NFC for simple linking of your mobile device.Included with the D7200 body is the wide-angle to telephoto zoom AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens, which features VR image stabilization to minimize camera shake to suit working in dimly-lit conditions and with longer focal lengths. One aspherical element and one extra-low dispersion element are integrated into the lens' design to minimize aberrations and optimize image sharpness and an SWM autofocus mechanism is used to acquire focus quickly, silently, and accurately.

  • Have it your way, produces great imags on Auto, and allows you to be creative when need be.

Finally upgraded my trusty Nikon D-200, was going to go to the D-810 full frame, but after reading reviews on the D7200 I decided to stay with the DX format as it provided sufficient pixels for my use. Since I already had a 18-300 VR 3.5 - 5.6 lens on the D200 it made both sense, and cents to stay DX format. Camera is a bit smaller, easy to use, controls comfortable, and the image quality outstanding using both the 18-140 that came with the camera, and the 18-300 from my D200. Since both the 18-140, and the 18-300 are heavy lens, overall does not seem much lighter. Images taken by both cameras on Program mode show the advances made on the inside, especially in low light conditions, much better results, really impressed with image quality. Camera really feels solid when the shutter is released, just a really nice feel, plus fast focus with both the 18-140, and 18-300. Only current concern is the SDHC cards used by the camera, am so used to the large sturdy Compact Flash cards that these seem flimsy, concerned about how they will hold up over the long haul, still have one of the two Lexar Compact Flash cards purchased in 2007, other just failed withing the last two months. My use of the camera will be the same as the D200, I am an artist, both traditional and graphic and use it to capture images for subject matter, average about 4,000 or more clicks a year, majority of my images are taken outside, and at the 18 - 35 mm range, camera performs extremely well with both lens. Just want to add this, my 18-300 VR lens just came back from authorized Nikon Repair after 34K clicks, auto focus issues, seems to perform better than new, no more zoom slip when camera is carried, plus repair was fast, and at reasonable cost.

  • Nice Camera But

The camera is great but the accessories that came with the kit are of very poor quality, 1 of the batteries already wont hold a charge. the camera bag and tripod looks like something you would buy at the dollar store. the camera bag is to small to hold the camera and extra lens that came with the kit. I recommend the camera but not the kit. someone that's spend this much on the camera would never use the low quality items in the kit.

  • Excellent enthusiast level DSLR

I love my D7200. This is not a camera for beginners, it is a very nicely featured camera for the more experienced user. It has excellent image quality and will do everything I know to ask a camera to do. And there are many lens available for it. The D7200 is an excellent choice if you know what to do with a camera. Of course, for professional photographers there are other cameras which will do even more.

  • Best Nikon Camera

I just recently got out if point and shoot and into DSLR. I started with a D3100. A small investment to see if I would like it. Took a couple classes and I love DSLR. I decided I wanted to get a better camera as by today's standards the D3100 is a bit outdated. I did a lot of research on Nikons (my preferred brand) and I found the D7200 to be their best camera that's not mirrorless or FX. (Even then the MP is only beaten by the D850) Why Nikon discontinued this I'll never understand. The D7500, its replacement, is inferior to it. The "improvements" arent that great and there's a loss in MP. I love this camera and where its discontinued, I very well may purchase a second just to keep on hand. The pictures are sharp, clear, and vibrant. Not much tweaking has to go into them. I like heavier cameras and it has a good weight to it. I even looked into Canon and I couldn't find anything comprehable. Only drawback is there is no image stabilization in the camera itself, but Nikon puts it in their lenses. I love this camera.

  • Nikon D7200

Excellent camera which takes quite a bit of time to become familiar with its operation. The quality of the photos is quite good. Most of the options available on the camera will never be used. Buying a book dedicated to using this camera is useful.

  • Good Price for the product but..

Even though the price is fantastic for the camera, the accessory bundles are pretty much useless. The only decent thing out of all of those accessories were the filters, the remote and the 67mm lenses(these lenses aren't that useful anyway). The flexible tripod is useless for this camera so is the 50" tripod. The flash isn't that great and doesn't mount to the top of the camera (there is a bracelet though). It's a great price but I wouldn't buy this bundle but I'd recommend just the camera body and the 18-140mm lens.

  • D7200 Great Camera!

This camera is awesome! 2 cars slots, WiFi and additional command wheel. Also more dedicated buttons than my D3300. So happy with my upgrade!

  • Great package

Was looking for the right combination of lenses for a d7200, and this is a great foundation to work from! The bag for the gear was also better than I would have expected, not flimsy at all. Very satisfied

  • Excellent camera and lens!

Camera and lens are excellent. I had a D7000. Those images were often a little soft. The D7200 provides the sharpest images. The quality of the camera and lens are exceptional.

  • Awesome Camera

This is a very good camera overall. Nikon puts out very good quality products. I went with Nikon because the D3400 use good and my daughter has the D5200. I expect an even greater quality of photos and possibilities with this camera. You won't be disappointed.
