Great E-Fireplace heater, at a great open-box price!
Looks very expensive, well made, very real. Relatively quiet in operation, but not the quietest. The fan isn’t loud, but it is noticeable. It’s a bit noisier than the quietest you can get. Not a flaw, but a consideration: Maybe this unit is not as efficient a heater as Duraflame’s larger flat-faced model simply because this one’s heating element, like the majority of others, radiates it’s heat from an element located below the firebox rather than above it. Down low it’s element is less visually noticeable, so looks better, but I noticed it can often be obstructed by household items. I have both styles, and use the top-element model in our bedroom because it’s radiant heat is high enough that it warms what’s actually ON the bed, rather than be wasted heating what’s UNDER it.

Great unit, does the job, can be noisy.
Love the Duraflame Fireplace. This is my second one and I bought it to warm up my bedroom before bed (it tends to be 10 deg colder in there so...). This is my second unit. The other is a higher end Duraflame (cost about $350) and is in my sunroom. It works really well to keep that room warm during the Wisconsin winter. I tell you this because this model is the less expensive version and works well, but is much louder at times. So if a more quiet unit is required, you might want to spend a bit more.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
