Great product, with a major downside worth reading about
I'll make this brief so that you can go back to enjoying your day. The sound is amazing and perfect and the pop filter does exactly what it's intended to do. It's easy to hook up; just plug it in through the relatively long cable they provide and you're ready to go. I had no difficulty connecting this to the computer whatsoever (I have a Windows 10 so I don't know how this will impact Mac users). The pros of this device are solid. However with all these positives comes a potential flaw that is worth thinking about... the boom arm that holds the Snowball is unable to carry its weight. What that means is that the device will constantly pull the arm down, despite your best efforts to keep it up. I tried for about 30 minutes to keep it up through all sorts of moving around and unfortunately, it just can't happen. The mic is just too heavy for the arm. Moving the arm around to different positions as it's intended to do is just a burden with the Snowball ICE. The end result is that you'll just have to stabilize the arm on another object, like a desk or a table. In my opinion, what's the point? Just use the stand it comes with. At least then it's easier to move around. If you want to use the boom arm, I suggest a mic like the Blue Yeti. It's much better at holding this. Overall, it's a quality product and I won't be sending it back. I just wish the boom arm could stabilize better with the Snowball ICE.
