I’ve hesitated buying one due to price and only battery power. How stupid was I... I’ve binned my corded vacuums (3) upstairs, downstairs and garage for cars....... it takes up no space, loads of really useful tools and it’s three power modes are brilliant for everything you throw at it..... battery lasts really well, I do a 4 bedroom house, walls, ceiling and floors, only because I can now, I’m playing with it,....it hasn’t run out of battery yet....... the tools do everything and a bonus with the power heads......would I recommend one to people...... yes without a doubt... might be pricey, but it’s well worth the outlay.

    Good, but not thoroughly tested

The cleaning abilities of the Dyson V10 are very good and it's not too noisy for its suction power. As for reliability, I've only had the machine for a three weeks and that is not long enough to make a fair comment on reliability. I bought it refurbished direct from Dyson. All refurbished are promoted as fully tested and functional. Mine, however, did not charge, from fist use. Not really tested, Dyson! Upon calling support, they started looking into replacing the unit but I suggested a replacement charger first. It worked, so replacement to necessary. If it hadn't been for this incident, it would have been a 5 star rating.

  • Great machine, I would recommend!

What a machine this is. I use the wall mount for storage and charging, relatively easy to set up. Unfortunately, when I received the machine, the trigger failed to operate. Dyson were very helpful over the phone and a brand new replacement cyclone unit and battery were sent out next day. After assembling the parts (tools and screws provided) the machine was quickly assembled and I am extremely impressed with both the performance and battery life of the unit. It works very well on the standard / low setting and performs very well at its task of vacuuming the floor, even removing stubborn fluff that my old machine seemed to struggle with. Attachments are very easy to change over, simply press the button and remove, and replace with a click. Soooo easy! The unit is well designed, lightweight, and is a breeze to get into tight corners and low areas. Very easy to manoeuvre around the house. With great deals, discounts, and nectar offers over the Black Friday weekend, this was a great purchase, even with the gremlins experienced to begin with.

  • Great vacuum at great price.

In answer to rating question "Is it reliable?" having had it only a few days is hardly long enough to judge. Although this is a refurbished item it came 'as new' in pristine condition and well packed in Dyson packaging. It works very well, has lots of attachments for different applications and was ££££ less than brand new. The cost of this saving? Loss of one year guarantee. Turn the view around, would you pay £100-£150 for a (second) year's guarantee? Most people would say "No"

  • excellent, worth taking the leap from corded.

Wish I could have had one years ago. They are quick easy and powerful . Honestly, fantastic . I have a house over three floors and it's made doing things like the stairs so much easier. The fluffy head cleaner is brilliant on my hard floors, animal head brilliant on rugs and carpet.

  • Easy to use, good battery life.

Excellent vacuum. Battery life is great, I have a 4 bed farm house and it will vacuum the whole house (which is mainly carpet) on the middle setting. When on the max setting, it doesn’t last that long but it’s great to give a carpet a good deep clean. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I’ve always had corded vacuums but I will not be going back to corded now. So light and easy to use.

  • Great features , good looking and really cleans well.

Best vacuum cleaner I have ever used, really good suction, light weight, easy to use and empty and no trailing cable to worry about. The first cordless cleaner I have used, and would not use a corded one after using this machine. Definitely a move up from the other cleaners I have had in the past, well done Dyson.

  • Excellent

Been waiting for the deal to come along which saw me but one of these. We've moved from a corded dyson to this v10 and it was well worth it. So easy to use with the usual great dyson build quality (our DC40 which this replaces gave us 5 years problem free service and is still going strong and being passed on to a family member) and, with 12 month warranty on a manufacturer refurbished product we're so pleased we made the switch. If you're thinking about getting one, do it without fear.

  • Expensive but worth it

Love it! Was slightly concerned about purchasing a refurbished item but upon arrival it looked brand new and on use it has been a joy to vacuum. My home is no longer super dusty and the different attachments are useful. The one downside is that even refurbished, it's still expensive for the average person so it's not bargain, but overall, if you vacuum a lot, I think it's worth it.

  • Refurbished as good as new

Everything about my V10 is perfect. Let’s hope the battery lasts. I’m very impressed so far. What I really like about Dyson vacs (I have a V6 handheld) is that you scarcely have to clean the filter! All the muck, including the really fine particles, get sent to the main waste chamber which is so simple to empty / unlike my previous upright vac where I have to clean/rinse the foam filter every other time. It has three power levels, all of which are mightily impressive. It is much lighter to manoeuvre than my previous upright, and it’s cordless too! I didn’t buy a V6 for my carpets (not enough power back then), but the V10 is wow! My old upright was, & still is, going strong (I’ve given it to my daughter). But I’m now the proud owner of the Rolls Royce of vacuum cleaners (although I believe there’s a V11 too)!
