Be sure this set includes the knives you use most often
What type of knife do you use most often? This is a very good-looking knife block set and the numbers of knives it includes led me to assume it would be of good use but - it’s not. Five of the knives are steak knives - not useful for cooking. If you’re a serious cook - this would be a very useful set of knives - or if you don’t cook at all - this is a beautiful set of knife block set to have out in your kitchen. I love these knives. My house burned down last year so still replacing a lot of items I previously had. Well my first set of straight knives
I've read about straight knives before purchase and you do have to be careful when cutting and hitting the plate when you get through your meat. My kids cut like their cavemen and you can see the edge start to warp and vend a little. It's an amazing knife set. All but the scissors r one piece stainless steel so there are no crevices to hold bacteria. Easy to clean and feel great in your hand. Just replaced a very nice set of knives but they had wood handles attached to the steel which is much harder to know that it is clean.
