Just dont work at all sometimes. This is how this product work. Its a community, the more people have it, it will help to find it by other people devices, but not enough people have it. Because its useless, dont buy it, dont waste your money. They should give it out for free for about 5 years then sell it.

Keep in mind, they're marketed to be semi-disposable, and beware of used ones being sold, as most likely the battery life will be significantly shortened (duh). So what to do when the battery dies out? Buy new Tiles, I guess. :) 1 year lifespan claimed, and folks have cut them open to replace the batteries, so depending on your level of tinkering/DIY they may be used indefinitely in this way. 2018-08-29.
